Misept is enjoying Everet's party a lot. Mostly because she is ignoring anyone other than him. He's a bit flattered by this, but he wants to befriend lots of people, so it may also set him back. He's not forgotten how she spent the entire protest last week schmoozing with his boss. He hates a sellout, but loves the way her eyes shine, so he's willing to keep looking at her for now.
There are either corn dogs being served at this party, or really thin candy apples. I have no idea as Everet didn't cook, he rolled a wish to order a pizza.
Okay okay, corndogs. And the Pizza sits outside. Also, he feels comfortable enough with Sephut to share a bit of his past with her. “After helping my family out, and finding my cousin, I decided to get a clean start, and moved here.”
She's incredulous. He sounds like he's talking big. “So you decided to keep a low profile by joining a political campaign and had to knock on the doors of most of the residents in town?”
“Of course not.” He replies patiently. I got out of the political business as soon as they needed something more than a file clerk. Hiding in a back office full of hanging file folders is a great way to keep a low profile. I also wanted to see if there are any gangs or corrupt officials to avoid. I can't just come to this town and expect to have a perfect run of it, so it's only natural to be cautious.”
“So is filling the house full of dirty dishes a part of that blending in thing, then? 'Cause I'd be worried that someone would have called hazmat by now.”
He laughs, knowing he cleaned up several days ago. It can't be that bad.
The party ends without anybody calling a hazmat team. Also Everet ignored his other guests in favor of talking to Sephut most of the night.
Golf in the desert looks pretty good. He plays through the entire sunrise, lowering any remaing stress considerably, then heads off to work.
He hasn't hit any passing car windows in a while.
After work is over, and after reading half of a meaningless book, someone invites him out. He's still working on several friendships at once.
Pansy is there, and two other neighbors who were at his party. Pansy talks about how she's ready to settle down and have a serious relationship.
Naturally, after hyperventilating a little bit, Ev walks away from her to rant about love. He knows Sephut wouldn't have put him on the spot like that. His friend(?) Marisol is also at this park. Apparently he's found his new crew of friends. Minus Amos, wherever he went off to.
Some people are just in love with love.
His boss is there at the park too, which is weird. Jaycen Hendrix has an awesome home to go back to, and no kids to put on the swings. Ev isn't sure how to respond to a random comment about the man's sky sign.
The whole thing makes him tired. It pains me, He thinks, before excusing himself.
After calming down a bit he manages to tell Pansy that he's here in Lucky Palms to make new memories, not settle down for good right away.
She wonders why he had to throw a wet blanket all over her feelings like that. But he makes it sound reasonable.
Cream of broccoli soup, because nobody bothered to put the corn dogs away.
...and Jaycen calls him. For some reason he hasn't wished to change jobs again yet. I expect it with every interaction.
… and then he wonders what comes next.
Well next turns out to be visiting Misept and her sister Sephut, who have moved from the glorious place I gave them, into this gaudy dump that looks like a frat boy lives in it. Not sure if it was wish related, I think it may have been my free action for the day, because he was ranting about Misept.
I change her default dress to something more awesome on her.
She finishes cooking bamboo rolls, grabbing one for herself.
and she still wants to talk about the political job he used to work at, for a few months last year.
He's been in business for the last year and a half already, but he still listens politely.
Then Sephut sits down and talks casually for awhile.
She loves their new home. The ingrate.
Apparently looking at her sister politely makes Misept jealous. He may have had a single flirty interaction with Pansy or something, but this is unwarranted as he hasn't sought out anyone else romantically.
Misept feels betrayed. Her sister Sephut, is not surprised. She's always breaking up with people then missing them, then looking for new love, over and over. Sephut is the loyal type. This poor guy is in for it with her older sister.
For once, his natural approach does not work. She is too upset to hear him, and he has no idea what set this off in the first place.
He placates her with a promise to hang out sometimes soon, just the two of them...
“Sure, sounds nice,” She replies sheepishly.
High maintenance.
Misept tries to explain to her sister that she thought there had been flirting going on, but she still loves her anyways.
Sephut grimaces. “That's-you're creeping me out.” She complains.
“I still think he was flirting with someone else, and it breaks my heart...”
“Well, are you two seeing each other then, I thought he was a friend you made at the summer festival.”
“No, but we're going to see each other soon, I'm sure of it.”
Sephut sits down while the two friends get cozy for a sleepover. She wonders how much it would cost to have her own place.
Everet was invited to stay overnight, so he stays over night.
Misept removes her makeup before sleeping, leering at him the whole time. Doesn't he know she still feels offended? She'll figure out who it is that he cheated with, and soon.
Everet dreams of living with other people who will help keep the bathroom clean, and of having a bathroom large enough for a tub to fit in.
As long as he has people living with him that aren't in an exclusive relationship!
Misept has not forgiven him his imagined offense by daybreak, nor did she sleep well.
She gets up and bonds with her sister over some made for cable special.
I have no excuse for that crown. Also, why isn't it back in my game yet? :D
Everet slept better than most, dreaming of triumphs and parties and broken hearts. He wakes up alone.
...and helps cook something else before heading home.
Then at home, makes greens in herb sauce, and promptly leaves it because he has to get to the office.
Then it's back home, a little game for stress relief.
and another stinkin party. Marisol and he get to know each other better, though his boss and the neighbors are here too.
This time there is definitely some flirtatious behavior, which apparently cools his boss' friendship with him down. Which makes sense, his boss thinks all the girls are for him. So does Everet, except Everet wants friendships the most, so he wastes no time being jealous of men like Jaycen, boss or no.
Well I guess I have a few more parties to throw to satisfy this wish. At least the golf score ones are easy and fun to fulfill.

If anyone wants a sister on Simfile share, I may get around to that, but it's better to remind me. They're online with that house anyways.
